I have bought a new connection. When I signed the contract I was told that $30 connection fee will be waived when I call Koodo helpline and ask them to remove it. Now when I called the manager is saying to me to go to that store again and let that representer call us because he was lying???? Why should I have to go there and do that, as if a koodo representative says me that I have to believe it is true. I want connection fee waivied. My number is 647-472-2266

The only way the connection fee is waived is if you did it yourself online. If you activated in a store you will have to pay the $30 activation fee.

Ali,
Did you activate a prepaid or postpaid plan? the connection fee is applied to a postpaid (monthly) plan.

From what you said "here is your sim go home and activate it yourself", it is a prepaid plan (pay as you go). There is no connection fee.

I have no idea why or what you were told in the store. Everything has to be done online to avoid activation fee. I don't think it's right or fair but it is what Koodo has chosen to do.

More info in this link.

So it means the guy at the store gave me wrong information. I have to go there and ask him about it, but obviuosly he will say the same thing and completely falsefy what he said before

Ali,
I could not confirm if he gave you wrong or you were confused about the information. Hence you should go back and ask him to clear everything for you. The online agent already told you similarly.

As you are new to Koodo, you should ask him for a written confirmation of whatever he provided.

Didn't you see the fee when you signed up in store?
