i have an iPhone 6s, how do i know its connected to LTE Advanced and not just regular LTE?

when I'm connected to data, it will either say 3g, or lte,, but my friend who has a samsung s6 says lte+, i was wondering if I'm connected to lte advanced and not regular lte.

As far as I know, iPhone doesn't support displaying that moniker. It will always just say LTE.

ok thank you, just confirming, it is connected to lte advanced but just shows up as lte?

Probably. I'm not quite sure which LTE bands the NA iPhone 6S supports but I'm sure it would connect to the "advanced" network.

To be honest you're not gonna see a difference though. Anything past the original LTE speed of 75mbps just becomes diminishing returns.
