I have a Samsung Galaxy grand prime. I would like to know how to turn off roaming. I travel close to us sometimes and receive a text saying welcome to us would like to turn that off. thanks

Should be settings and then Mobile Networks. Roaming should be in there.

I have it off there and still receive text when close to the US

That's probably just data roaming.

Navigate to..settings...wireless and networks...more...mobile networks . . . . network selection ...manual


Allow the phone to scan (which will probably take about a minute) and then it will show you a list of available networks. Choose happ....er Koodo or Telus


If you ever want to roam, turn network selection back to automatic.
