My phone won't connect to any network in Philippines using my koodo sim. I have a moto G3. I didn't have any problems using my nexus 5 and telus sim on my previous trips. I just want to receive texts and notification of calls. Any ideas how I could resolve this?

Make sure roaming is enabled in your settings. Also make sure you have the appriopriate free add-ons, otherwise your phone wont work internationally. They would be the intl voice roaming add-on and intl data roaming add-on. They're free to add but are required for your phone to roam internationaly

You have to pro-actively enable international roaming on your account or you get no signal at all outside North America. If you accidentally starting a major download while in the Philipines, it would not be a pleasant $urpri$e.

Option then is to pay-per-use or buy a package: https://www.koodomobile.com/add-ons?INTCMP=KMNew_NavMenu_Shop_Addons

You are right Bob but I don't seem to have the option to add pay per use add on for some reason. I only have option to get the package.

You don't see the add-ons?
You need to add these:
Pay Per Use Intl Long Distance
- International Voice Roaming
International Data Roaming

Confusingly, the add-ons Ahmad refers to are in the plan section of self-serve, I believe, and not on the roaming page I referred to, which is a recent change. Go through the motions of changing your plan and they should be visible somewhere near the bottom of the page. Piecemeal rates will not be cheap.

Might be an idea for Koodo to consolidate all the roaming/travelling plans and info on one page. Your question comes up fairly regularly, and usually when people are stuck overseas and suddenly have no service, and may not be in the best of humour.

Well i ended up calling Koodo because I couldn't find the option. The rep couldn't find it either. Then I tried your suggestion and it worked! The rep was puzzled himself so I guess I wasn't the only one confused.
