If you have a province wide unlimited plan and not a Canada wide plan then yes you are charged. If you have a Canada wide unlimited calling plan then no you will not be charged.

If your sons have moved to a inference province and you have stayed in the same location, THEY would pay any long distance fees to call you, if such applies to their account. No matter who calls you, as long as you are in your home area, the call is considered local for YOU.

According to the nitty-gritty of prepaid province wide plans I don't think you'll be charged for answering calls no matter where they are from as long as you are in your home province.

3. Includes outgoing calls you make anywhere in Canada to a number with an area code in the same province, and incoming calls you receive while you are in your home province. A Canada-wide Talk Booster Add-on is required to make or receive calls while you are outside your home province.
