The frequency supported by the phone is
GSM - 900, 1800; WCDMA – 900, 2100, 4G LTE (FDD) - Band 3, LTE (TD) - Band 40.

Will I be able to use data in Canada?

Hi Guru,

It will work on 3G frequencies but not 4G.

Unfortunately it will not work on Koodo. You need WCDMA frequencies 850/1900 and 1700/2100 for LTE (optional).

Rogers/Fido/Chatr will be fine for voice/text because they have 2G. Data, though... will be painfully slow. Like dial-up slow. You're better of buying a different device for data usage in Canada.

This is where things get tricky for acronyms of UMTS technologies. The WCDMA bands you mentioned will not work with Koodo, as Jonathan said, it's 850/1900, and you have 900/2100. LTE bands in Canada include 7, 12, 13, 17, 38, and Telus et al did buy 2300mhz(40) in 2009 but I don't believe they intend to use it anytime soon.

2G EDGE data is realistically about 256kbps for Rogers. The average mobile webpage is well over 2MB now and there's no end in sight. You can do messaging, perhaps GPS. That's about it. In short, get a phone that'll work here.

Hi Guru! Enter the IMEI on this link http://koo.do/1aU1u0o to confirm if your Honor 7 will work on the network. Have a great one :)
