Well all of the postpaid plans include international texts so you don't have issues there, but I must question how on earth you're going to send 30,000 texts per day?

Sooo...are you trying to spam message people overseas? More than 100 what? To more than 100 people at a time or what? How do you know they didn't get the message?

That's called spamming, and Koodo has hard limits on the order of roughly 200 text messages an hour to prevent this. If you exceed these limits, your text messaging privileges will be automatically suspended for several hours at least. I think you will find that there are similar limits in place with all carriers.

Unsolicited email or text messages to recipients in the UK leave sender subject to £5000 UK fine. The Italians can fine you up to 90K Euros and add a 3 year sentence.

wow.  good for those countries! £5000 converts to $8333.39 CAD, and €90k is $127814 CAD.

If the 30k texts are sent spread evenly over 30 days, all within 8 hours (again spread evenly), that'd be 125 SMS per hour, which would be within the fair use limits. If you use your Koodo post-paid account, that's tied to your driver's licence or SIN.

Why not use an unlimited texting plan on a prepaid account? No credit checks, sometimes you don't even have to provide your name.

On a side note, I'd stay away from SMS marketing, as it'll likely be ignored as spam (plus you're risking crazy fines if you take a trip to Europe).

Online advertizing is probably best. You'll reach most users in select markets who don't block ads.

Keep in mind that Koodo only offers consumer accounts (no commercial accounts). Meaning it's understood that you use Koodo products and services for personal use.
