Maybe they just want you to identify yourself before someone stoopid signs up for an unlimited plan on your account.

Chill a little. It goes a long way.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Did you try self-serve? I know that certain portions are not working right now, but not due to the IQ of the phone service people.

Rather than prolonging these pleasantries for a while, just tell us what you want to do, without providing any account details publicly. Maybe there's a shortcut.

Which, based on your antics here, is where it belongs.

Come forward with a reasonable request, phrased in a non-confrontational manner, and you will likely receive a prompt, comprehensive answer. Also, proper punctuation and grammar would make your request more intelligible.

Hi Ricky, I'm not sure if you realize that the majority of folks trying to answer your questions are customers just like you and me. Occasionally you will see someone like Nabil come on here and it clearly says "Employee". It says your question got flushed for "inappropriate language" so simply clean it up and ask it again and I bet someone here can answer it. (not me by the way, because I'm new to cell phones and Koodo.) If your argument is against providing your drivers licence number, that is another story. According to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada a retailer cannot demand to copy your drivers licence number or photocopy the licence. If they ask and you provide it, the retailer has the duty to protect your privacy. Google the PCO site and read it for yourself. Your option then is to go to prepaid as I see it.

That is what they are supposed to do tho. The associate did everything like he was supposed to do. There is nothing to complain about, Koodo is just making sure they are talking to the proper person. They do ask more questions than usual on the occasion, but you can never take too many precautions when it comes to sensitive information.

How would you of felt if I called, said I was you, and the associate not ask me enough questions and I change your plan to the most expensive one possible, and get the plan switched SIM cards so I can use it myself? That is the exact scenario they are trying to prevent, accept it and be thankful, the more irate you become the more questions they will ask you and the less of a chance you have of them actually helping you.

If you wanted to switch to one of the new plans, you will need to call Koodo to be able to switch to one of those plans. Be patient when you speak with the associate and answer his questions. They are there to help you, and not ruin your day.

You're being disingenuous. A request for positive ID, such as the identification used to set up a plan, would be requested to answer questions about your account, not just general questions. Koodo is responsible to make sure that before divulging any propagate information, or accessing your account, they have certainty it is the account holder they are interacting with.

Once again, if you have a general question, you can post it here using appropriate language, so it remains on the site long enough for other to answer, you may get the result you are seeking. However, if not, you may be waiting a while......

This is the best place for a simple question about a plan. If we all just avoided futility the question could have been asked and answered by now.

So many koodo fanboys. I have been with koodo for 7 years and they do have horrible services. Why do i stay because there is really no better options. Canada Cell choice is sad.You can't trust anyone that gets something from a company to give true unbiased opinions.

Honestly Ricky if i were you i would be more than thankful for all these questions, because it happens more often than you think that an agent accidentally forgets to ask all these questions and the caller has unlimited access to the account, watch the news a little more, all these stories about fraud will scare you, be thankfull that Koodo has such high security standards.
