Hi Scott,

What has led you to believe the SIM card doesn't work anymore?

Does the phone say No SIM or unregistered SIM? Did it say the SIM card was removed?
In most cases, these issues are resolved by powering the phone down, removing the SIM card and battery (if possible) and waiting a few minutes before re-assembling and trying out the phone again.

If you still think it's not working anymore, you can go to a Koodo kiosk and tell them you don't think your SIM card works anymore. The will try a few troubleshooting steps with you and then either replace it at no charge (as long as your monthly) or sell you a new one for 5$ (again as long as your monthly). If your pre-paid, I believe they can only sell you a new one and that SIM card costs 20$.

My phone now says that there is no sum card and I can only make emergency calls. I've tried everything anyone has suggested and come to realize that I just need a new sum card.

If your sim card is faulty, just bring it back to the store and they should exchange it for a new one, especially if it is within 15 days.
