I got charged the phone protection warranty after specifically saying I did not want it. I have my original contract that said 'no add ons'. However, for the past two months they have been charging me this warranty. I went back to the original store and they told me they couldn't refund that I had to call. I call and they tell me they can't refund to go to the store. Okay, so is there basically no way to get a refund from this company when they make a mistake? I suspect sales people get bonuses for selling insurance and this person added the insurance against my wishes. Needless to say, I am no longer going to use Koodo as I don't support businesses that think it's okay to steal from customers.

If it was added against your wishes, Koodo will likely refund the charges. Please send a private message to Koodo via Facebook or Twitter (links are in bottom right corner of the page). They'll be able to help you out.

So in person they won't refund and on the phone they won't refund but they will on Facebook or Twitter? Highly doubt that but will try it. Thanks.

Koodo stores generally don't have as much permission to do things as you may think, especially stores like bestbuy who just sell Koodo phones and plans. Although you should've been able to do so over the phone, by messaging on facebook you talk directly to a Koodo rep who can help you out.

The reps working social media are excellent and often more efficient than phone support. I suggest trying this the next time you have account-related issues. For anything not requiring account modification, we're always here.

Update: After going to the koodo kiosk that originally sold me the phone with no luck and then calling support with no luck I finally was able to get a refund from the cancellation department. I was going to cancel my plan but the rep was VERY helpful and she immediately refunded the charges to my current bill. I just wish they would just tell you how to get a refund (basically be willing to cancel your plan) and not give the run around. In the end, it took me longer than I expected to get this issue resolved  (on hold and on the phone for 60 mins) but Koodo stepped up and refunded me. They also stated they were going to do an investigation on the salesperson who added the insurance against my wishes. I am now a satisfied customer!

Did you not attempt Facebook or Twitter? I suggested that to save you from having to wait 60 minutes on the phone.

I did Facebook them (I don't have a Twitter account) but I got through to a telephone support person before they replied. They did message me back today saying they had a high volume of messages yesterday though and apologized for not responding sooner. Definitely will do this route next time I have an issue as it was really long on the phone.
