If I get an iPhone 5s will I be obligated to pay for a data plan with my charges although I'd never use the data? I really want to switch over to an iPhone but I have no need for data since there's so much free WiFi in places.
So will I be charged for it?
Also will I be missing out on anything i can't get by Wi-Fi if not having data?

Koodo does have some plans that only have pay per use data and other plans that include it. You'll have to compare the other features to see what suits your needs.

The only thing you miss out on by just using WiFi is instant notification by apps that offer it. (Email, Facebook, Twitter, snap chat, etc).

Other than that there's picture messaging which requires a data connection. However you can always add the data block that allows mms while blocking other data for 2$ per month.
