Your email has probably been used with another account or there was a typo in the email you provided. You can check your junk folder. If you don't see anything there you can send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter to get it reset and confirm your email.
Several months? How do you still have service? The onus is on you to find the bill. You can either contact Koodo as I said to get your account setup completed or do as Dinh said to find your balance to pay. Either way, you're responsible to do something about it.
