I can't make or receive calls. Keep getting a 1um2 message.

I can't make a call or receive them. I get the 1um2 message. My bill is paid. It even says I have a credit balance. So what could be the problem?

1UM2 is an internal system code. The system will tell you something in english before it gives the code. This message is what tells you what the problem is. What is it saying.

When I call it from another phone all it says is 1um2 or 1um1 (it changes) the person you are trying to reach is unavailable.

Sound like the system is having trouble routing calls to/from your number. You can try toggling airplane mode off and on, and maybe removing the sim card for a few minutes, then restart the phone. It probably won't help in this case, but the issue might sort itself out when the phone reconnects to the network. If the issue persists, you'll need to call and talk to tech support. 1-866-995-6636, option 6.

You were right. I figured out myself that the service had been turned off. But thanks Robert! Your advice was right. When I called koodo they didn't even ask about whether there was any service.
