Yes you should be able to log into your self serve and choose to port a number into that existing line.
If you mean you just have the hardware you will need to visit your local Koodo kiosk and get a SIM Card and set up a port there

You have a sim card for that hub right?

I guess I'll visit a Koodo Kiosk, get a sim card to be used in my HW and have them port/transfer the number for me. I'll still qualify for the $5/mth right?

Yeah you should as you didn't already have a line setup for homephone

How did you get the hub without a sim?

I bought the hub with a sim/line a year+ ago and now I want to activate a new sim with an existing number to use with it

If you already got a discounted plan when you first set it up you may not this time all you can do is try and see what they say

Great look forward to seeing what they say as I don't think I've come across this one yet.

As long as it's a new line/subscriber on the account the $5/month for the 1st year will be applied. I guess you had cancel the previous HUB line once the price went up to $20 and now you'll be getting a new number on a new line.

That's the loophole I was talking about Dennis on my other post regarding Senior plan and bundle... at the 13th month port-out the number for 25/30 days on a prepaid system; 2 days before those 30 days are over get a new WHP line and port-in the number. And voila you get another 12 months @ $5

If you can survive the 25/30 days on prepaid, you might as well stay on prepaid

yeah but imagine someone use the WHP as a business line; 25 days on a low end prepaid 20$ ChatR or Lucky Mobile then the person goes back to Koodo WHP for another year at $5/month.
For that person it's about $200 saving on business expanses (small from home side hustle).

Good point.

As a person who never owned a landline when they first moved out on their own, it is very difficult to see the need for one
