Koodo responded to many requests to add Visual voice mail to its add-ons, it will make iPHONE users happy - only for $2 month, now customers with iPHONE 4/4S and 5 you don't have to call into your mailbox to retrieve or delete messages. Voicemails get pushed to your device. you can choose which messages to listen to- without hearing voicemail instructions and earlier messages!

Along with the new tab system and price plans, this is another fail from Koodo imo.

It's great news for iphone users, but what about everyone else? Why make VVM exclusive to iPhone customers only?

Furthermore it uses Data, iphone users that don't have data plan should get data plan to make it work.
It's iPhone exclusive because apple has a patent on it. The program used on the phone does not belong to Koodo (or any one carrier). When e.g. Samsung creates a similar app for its phones, I'm sure carriers will make use of that service.

It's not exclusive to iPhone though...

Blackberry supports Visual Voicemail, Windows Phone supports Visual Voicemail, I wasn't sure about Android but a google search shows AT&T and Rogers also offer this to their customers...

This is completely wrong. Native support is built into Android M. Apple only owns a patent on their specific implementation. All Koodo has to do is enable it.

I know this is an older post, but will Koodo visual voicemail support other newer phones now? eg Blackberry?
