I have read a lot on the HTC one M8 and about people having problems with loose volume rocker buttons, is this a problem people have been experiencing often and if I get a phone with said problem will Koodo replace it no hassle?

Yes, as long as you return the phone within 15 days. Even if you don't return it within 15 days, your warranty can probably take care if if the loose buttons really bug. Enjoy the M8, it's a fantastic phone :)

I havent noticed any issues about the volume rocker.

You have 15 days to return the phone without issue (as long as the phone has not been damaged).

After that you have to go through the warranty process (1 year and as long as the phone has not been damaged)

Ok thats all very helpful, I have been reading online about all these people having loose rocker buttons, everything works fine it just has a little bit of a rattle and I know it would absolutely drive me crazy, to the point that I would consider buying a different phone, it doesn't seem to be happening all the time though so maybe it is a case of a rare defect just being posted a lot on the web.

People will find a fault in the slightest things but this is the M8 we're talking about... the build quality is definitely high, but nothing is perfect.

People who buy the M8 aren't the "I don't really care about having an amazing phone I just want it to work" type of people; these people understand and appreciate the craftsmanship and power of the device and will consequently have higher expectations because they spent a lot of money on it.

I hadn't noticed that until I saw the video. This is going to bug me.

I keep my m8 in a case all the time so I shouldn't lose the buttons if they do fall out from being so loose.

People found that defect in the silver ones, but koodo has the gunmetal grey so there shouldn't be a problem when you get the one from koodo.

and I've also read that some people have had the problem in the gunmetal grey ones

seems like this issue is a little more widespread than I thought, might be a good idea to wait on a new batch of phones.
