HTC One M8 with Best Buy. You have this offer with Best Buy, "This plan is valid with up to $300 of the Koodo TAB wherein your Koodo TAB is reduced through phone usage." I am already Koodo customer, and want to keep my initial Tab plan, is it possible? or i should change it for a new tab plan only? on your website is stated: "When upgrading, you can choose to switch to one of our new plans or keep your existing plan if you prefer. Not ready to upgrade? No problem. Our plans prior to April 19 are still available for you to switch your plan." Can you please advise if i can buy a new HTC with Best Buy, and add the amount of 300$ to my old Koodo Tab?

No, you cannot get any phone on a Tab and keep your old plan. If you wish to keep your old plan, you'll have to purchase the phone outright. I'm not sure BestBuy will allow that (they have their own policies). Koodo does not sell the M8 at their stores.

Hi Roman, if you want to use the TAB to pruchase a new phone you will have to switch to one of the new TAB plans as the way the phone is subsidized has changed and it reflects on the price of the plans and there is no more koodo contribution every month. But on the plus side the new plans have some good rates that may benefit you. The people at best buy should be able to explain all this as well for you and help you with the TAB. If you want too keep your current plan no problem just buy the phone outright from them and put in your sim card. Hope this helps :)

can't he just pay off his old tab and then keep his plan the payment for the new tab would be due each month on top of OP's plan.

Best Buy page says

Prices advertised are for new in-store activation only. Excludes upgrades and renewals. With this plan, there are some conditions that apply. Find a Best Buy location where one of our associates can explain this plan's details to you.

Can't see how keeping an old plan would not be a renewal. Also, one of the associates has to tell you the real skinny. I wouldn't waste a trip.

Hey there!

Chad is right! You can keep your old plan as long as you want. The only thing you need to have in mind is that you won't be able to use the old tab system (you will also lose the no Tab discount if you have it). With the new Tab, the tab contribution (up to $15/month) will be added to your monthly bill.

On the other hand, if you would like to purchase your phone using the Tab Plus, you will have to choose one of our special Tab Plus plans.

Many thanks!
