how to block data usage

I need to block data on a phone on my account, how do i go about doing that with out having to call in.

I'm afraid you can't do it yourself, Meagan if you really need a server side data block. You can call *611 and they will do it for you for free though :)

As Sophia said, you can get a data block put on by customer service. Otherwise you would have had to do it at the time of activation as they can do it in stores during the activation process as well.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you block data, you will also be unable to send or receive picture/video messages. Even though these don't use up your data, they do need access to the data network in order to work properly.
It is my son's phone on my account. we tried to "trust" him with the access but he took advantage of the trust. so now he will no have any extra privilegdes.

you can do it through your phone without having to call customer service.
Which phone are you using ?
it is the galaxy ace. It is my son's phone so i need it so that he cant by pass it him self.

Ya calling customer service is the main way. Not even sure if the Kiosk can do it after you set up the account

Kiosks are not able to do any changes for plans or features anymore. Just give Koodo a call and explain the situation. They can add the data block without hassle. They should NOT charge you the $10 fee for it since you are unable to add the block in self serve.

same problem as Meagan here, first i did have the Data blocked on my daughters phone though and thout i could trust her plus she was complaining about not receiving pictures, so i called in i was told i could easily do it on self serve that way i wouldnt be charged the $10 sure enough it was easy enough to take it off. now wow has she broken that trust more than once mind u not pictures still cant be sent or received and everytime i call in i get told to put the block back on thru self serve, i have spent hours on here and i cant find any place to do so............frustrated
