How can I block someone from texting me? I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace. I can't change my number as I would lose way too many contacts and some of which are very important. I couldn't go to every business and every site that has my number. Someone is harassing me and I simply would like to block him.

I'm not sure about that model of Galaxy but on mine you can go into the text messaging app then click on the menu button on the phone and a menu will pop up. Choose settings and scroll to the bottom of the menu. There is then a setting to block spam folder just enter the # that you want blocked. There is also a setting to block texts from unknown #s which will block any # that isn't in your contacts.

If you don't have these settings then they searching the Google Play store for a text blocking app aim sure there are a bunch.

Then like I said just check the Google Play store and you'll be able to find one I'm sure. just type in text blocker in the search in the PlayStore and a bunch should pop up.
Here's one https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...

Don't know what model Galaxy Ace you have but on the Samsung website you can download manuals for your particular mobile model. I looked at the Ace 2 manual and found this:
"
To assign a phone number from Messages list as spam:
1.From the Home screen, tap MSG app.
2.Touch and hold a message with a phone number.
3.Select Register as spam and tap OK
"
It goes on to explain how to manually enter a number as Spam MSG and how to label Unknown Number as Spam MSG.

This thread may be 2 years old but there are better ways to block Spam than downloading a third party APP.
