Step 1: make sure you have the blackberry version of the plan (has BB at the end)

Step 2: go to options->device->advanced system settings->tcp ip and change the apn to bb.koodo.com.

Step 3: go to options->device->advanced system settings->host routing table, press the menu button and choose register now.

Step 4: reboot phone. You should receive a message indicating that the phone has been registered with RIM.

Your data should now be working.

If the plan does not have the bb at the end it is not the blackberry version. This likely happened because koodo's systems do not tend to recognize unlocked (non-koodo) blackberries as blackberries. Call customer service (or tech support) and let them know what's going on. They should be able to switch you to the right version free of charge. Once you are on the right version of the plan you should be able to register the phone with no problems.
