Looking at the Canada-Wide Data Double 35 (see below). If I go over 300mb is the $5 overage fee applied right away? For example < 300mb = $35, 301mb - 550mb = $40, 551mb - 800mb = $45 etc.

Are there any other fees I should be aware of?

For 300mb you'd pay $10, you pay $5 more every time you go over 250mb. So whether it's 251mb or 500mb you pay $10
and yes if you hit 301mb it's an extra $5 on top of the plan price.

I meant 300 mb over your data included in your plan but I worded it really bad I'm sorry. Arika is correct so just try to follow her's, it's worded much better.

If you use 301 MB you will be charged the $5 for the extra 250 MB no matter what. Even if you only use 301 MB. You can track your data on your self serve account at koodomobile.com/selfserve or on the Koodo Self Serve App. Also, depending on which phone you use, you can track your usage and even set a DATA LIMIT ( HTC, ACEIIX, SIIX, NEXUS 4, S3, AND S4) this data limit will need to have your billing cycle date entered as well. Make sure you have the proper date entered or else your data tracker will be incorrect.
< 300 MB = $35
301 MB->550 MB = $40
551 MB->800 MB = $45
