My husband's phone is on my account. It is his first phone ever.

He is constantly getting texts from Facebook "so and so wants to be friends" - he doesn't have Facebook!!

I called Koodo - they insist is is a Facebook problem. But they blocked data from their side (he didn't have a data plan anyway) and said they would end.

Nope. He is still getting these spam texts several times a day. He is the only one in the house that gets them.

How do you stop them??

What you need to do is go onto your Facebook account from a computer and go into settings to remove the text notifications. Sorry for the trouble, but the rep on the phone was correct that it was a Facebook setting and not on Koodo's end at all.

Did the solution last time not work?
Al - I can't go onto a Facebook account and go into settings and remove the text notifications - there is NO facebook account. NONE. He doesn't have one, never did.

Dennis - no - it didn't stop it. I'll get him to try it again (technology and he don't get along well) - he tends to delete them and just tells me about them. Next time I'll make sure he saves them so I can try it again myself. Thanks!

Try it again. It has been confirmed to work according to Fabiola
Thanks - but reading that, she hooked her cell number up to her Facebook account. Hubby has no Facebook account to do this with - and I don't want a cell hooked to my account...I'll be trying the HELP idea next

It would be pretty quick and easy to create a dummy facebook account and attaching that phone to it

I would email facebook at following link:

Its quite possible that someone else had this number previously, and its there account that is linked up with it. email and provide the cellphone number to facebook help contact to resolve.
thanks for the link..that is exactly what is going on with my new phone too..all day long Fb notification texts for some guy :( annoying and it is taking forever to get this solved.
