The ONLY way to do that is for you to activate your line on a network who give out name details as part of Caller ID. Koodo is not one of them. In the interest of fairness, I will NOT name the networks who do so.

You may have caller block ID on your account. Just remove it on koodo's self serve website.

I think you have to be in their contacts for your name to show on their screen. I'm not too sure of any alternatives. Definitely try chris petersens suggestion. :)

James is right, Koodo doesn't offer this AFAIK R*****s was the only provider that did.

In the interest of fairness? Its a publicly viewable add-on for Rogers and Fido...

If you're not in their contact list, than if they have call display, your name will show up. If not, they only see your phone number. Nobody else can see names or businesses without having them in their contacts other than Rogers/Fido customers who have this feature. Its not really a huge deal but its kind of cool to know where an unknown call is coming from.

Jonathan, I knew who supplied name info as part of OUTGOING caller ID which is what the OP asked. He did NOT ask about incoming Name Display, which you would know had you read his post properly. I merely felt it unfair to mention other providers' features on an official Koodo forum, the same way I would not promote Telus or Koodo on the official Fido Community. I guessed the OP would be able to find out who offered it by doing a Google search if it was important to him.

I thought that he actually was asking about that feature. Maybe he noticed that one of his friends or family members didn't have his name come up if they weren't in his contact list. Don't accuse me of not reading properly, thanks.

We could say "Google it" to a lot of the questions we get around here, couldn't we?

Koodo is the worst phone company, they steal people's money in an indirect way. they've told me that I can activate my LCD dialing server and make an international call for 15 cents a minute while they charge me around 2$ and 13 cents for it. and the funny thing is that they've told me that I was making an international call while I didn't activate the LCD server which is impossible. and I activated the service on October, and they lied to me on my face telling me that the last time was only on September, which is not true......it was written on the ebill that I did activate the service and I was untitled to the discount........the charged me 209$ for only on bill cycle. the worst customer service ever, the worst phones, the worst phone services, I don't know why my husband have chosen them....pffffffffffffffffff, I cancelled my membership with them, and I was entitled to make call untill the end of the bill cycle, but they cut my phone off( a woman ) and take the money for the entire bill cycle while I couldn't make any calls I was entitled to........real thieves, for every cent you took from my money and for the money I work hard to get for my kids.....I hope you burn in hell, especially the woman who stole my money in an indirect way knowing it was my right.

3 years with Koodo (2 accounts) and no problems with my phone, their service or their staff.

I frequently read customers complaints of different companies and my conclusion is that

(1) you only hear one side of the story.
(2) comments are more frequent from people complaining, more so than happy customers. Percentage of people who are happy and will comment is much lower.
(3) complaints are more likely to be self serving even if the writer shares all or some of the fault for the problem.

Just my observation...

I agree completely. Issues seen here are from but a small fraction of Koodo clients, and the majority of the issues can be solved using self serve (looking at bill breakdown, etc).

Of course there are more serious issues (or issues related to personal info/billing) that need to be solved by a member of the Koodo staff. Most can be solved by volunteers here though, which helps take the load off of them. This leaves the Koodo staff more time to solve major issues. Which - in essence - lowers the wait time for help.
