How do I remove Side Bar Shortcuts?

My Samsung Galaxy SIII, Android, has a new side bar with a little arrow. I can move the side bar to the side of my choice and an Edit button allows me to change shortcuts, but I would like to remove it. The little arrow to open the bar is always in the way, I don't like it. I have nothing against it, it's a good idea, just not for me. Anyone know how to remove it?

Thank you!

This is the multi window feature. Pull down your notification shade, and near the top area where there's quick toggles, scroll to the right. There should be a toggle there to disable it. If not, then go to Settings > Display > uncheck the tick box next to multi window.
