If you see the symbol below, at the top of your phone, you are connected to wifi

Are you able to see the wifi network you want to connect to?

Bill . WiFi? next to Koodo means you in WiFi zone. Next you open WiFi and see McDonalds and you see connection option, and follow directions. A few seconds later you are connected. Then press HOME button. At this point the H+ should be gone, replaced by WiFi symbol, which means your good to go.
If your not good to go, repeat process.
I used McDonald's as my example. It could be anything. Hope this helps Bill.
