Do you mean after your personal greeting plays she comes in with instructions? You can't shut that off.

Yes. Someone told me I can. She said if I called Telus they'd tell me how.

Umm, I agree with "TELUS Customer", what is your point, Sophia? Regardless of whether or not Timo has ever been banned, it doesn't mean other things haven't happened...

TELUS Customer, is there a point to your post other than trying to start a flame war?

Well Koodo is in fact a fracking the no good lying, thieving Telus Cooperation; one of those Exploitative take all you can American Cooperation's that believes that their shouldn't be an laws that control them. Kind of like the idea that murders and rapist shouldn't have laws to control them but they believe laws prevent them from make as much money as they can; even if means lying threw they teeth in a big smile. I just can't understand how anyone can work for a bunch of psychopaths and their bidding. It reminds me of German people of Nazi German who would say at their trials for war crimes "I was just doing my job and what I was told to do." A total loose of moral values because they thought they were doing "a good job" as they gassed millions of innocent people. "I am just doing my job as you steal from your customer" Great thinking people now do you know why world calls American the New Nazi Nation?

Did you actually have a point, or did you just necro a three year old thread because you're bored?

You can fast-forward through the time, date and phone number prompts by pressing 1. Or from the voicemail menu, select Personal Options (option 4) and enable Autoplay in Administrative Options (option 2). As mentioned earlier, it's not possible to completely remove automated prompting, but there are ways to minimize the amount of prompting.

Below is a link to all the features offered in the voicemail menu.

Yes. Thank you Mayumi I think that's what I meant.

Timo...Sorry I wasn't more clear. I would like for people to hear only my recorded voice when they call and reach my voice mail. Someone told me I can eliminate the part where "Marshia" speaks, I can't hear my own message so I'm not sure exactly what she's talking about. I think it's what Mayumi has mentioned.

...and Rikkster. I did manage to find that link that you sent but something in this information still isn't clear to me. I think it's the Greetings part where it specifies the types. Where does it say how to activate each type? What is the Standard Greeting vs. Personal Greeting? What is Autoplay? If I enable it does it just play my recorded greeting?

I think this is blatant misuse of Koodo customers' trust. I don't wamt my callers to know which cell service I use and Koodo is getting free advertising at the cost of my callers' air-time.

It is not possible to prevent people who know your number from finding out what carrier you are with, whether koodo mentions it in their voicemail system or not. You can find the carrier for any number free of charge at http://www.freecarrierlookup.com/

Hmm, that's a neat website. My Koodo number comes up as Telus. Is that just because Telus is the parent company? I ported my number into Koodo over a year ago.

Regardless, if my callers want to find out which carrier I use that's fine but to give it to them automatically on my voicemail and at the cost of my callers' air-time, if they are using their cell, is blatant misuse of customers, in my opinion.

Hi Sarah, the standard greeting is a pre-recorded message that callers will hear when leaving a voicemail. Your voice will not be heard and instead 'Marsha' will announce that you are not able to take calls and tells callers to leave a message.

A personal greeting allows you to record a greeting in your own voice. By selecting personal greeting, this automatically overrides the standard greeting and callers will hear your voice. To record a personal greeting, select Personal Options (option 4) from the voicemail menu, then select option 3 to get into the Greetings category and choose option 1 to record a personal greeting.

What is aggravating about this is for the person on the other end of that inane, totally useless and irrelevant message having to waste his precious airtime waiting for the stupid prompt to end...For crying out loud, I'M NOT INTERESTED IN PRESSING POUND FOR MORE USELESS OPTIONS, STOP WASTING MY AIR TIME!!!

Sarah did you ever actually get a useful answer and succeed in removing, or at least shortening, the standard woman's voice greeting after your personal greeting? I'm still struggling with this and didn't find anything in this thread so far that actually solves the problem.

Press and hold the '1' button on the dialpad of your phone for a second or two. Listen for the prompt 'Personal Options' and tap 3 on your dialpad to select 'Greeting/Name Option'. You can either leave the standard greeting as is, or record your name and a personal greeting. Below is a link to a list of commands for the voicemail system - under Calling Features, click on: How do I setup or check my Voicemail?
