Does this mean I have to stay with Virgin in order to keep my phone number ???

Hi there...

It is quite simple, if you want to come to Koodo, just approach the Koodo Shop, they will open one account for you and let them know you want to keep your existing number, Koodo will send the request to Port your number into Koodo and that's it...

Make sure you have handy your Virgin account number, two pieces of ID and that your Virgin account is still active...

Get your phone unlocked first.

Then DO NOT cancel your Virgin account. Simply go to Koodo and have your number ported over and activate a new plan with Koodo. Your Virgin account will automatically close the port is complete.

You can unlock your phone yourself fairly inexpensively, unless it's an iphone.

This place is good. I used them.

mobile number portability is the process by which, you can shift to another operator of your choice, while retaining your old number.
