What kind of phone do you have? Data needs to be enabled on your device for picture messaging to work. It doesn't need nor use any part of a data plan, but it needs to access the network services.

I also have unlimited text but my DATA is shutdown.... I have heared horrible stories about DATA being used in the background for the apps that you have installed.... For this reason I am unable to send and receive PiX... Can I have just the DATA enabled and send and receive pix or not without paying the charges for the DATA.......

So as I understand, you have no DATA plan? If the answer is no, I don't have a data plan, then giving us your phone model would help us give you advice on how to set-up your phone

I have no Data Plan and it is turned off from the network end.... I have an HTC ONE V and I mainly use it on WIFI...

Okay, I'm going to try and tell you this : If you don't understand don'T hesitate to ask me : You can also go into the apn settings and either change the apn type to mms only or remove the port and proxy from the first half. (Leave the mms port and the mms proxy alone). This enables data for picture messaging while disabling it for anything else.

If not try this : You have to check your APN Settings:

1.Tap the menu key
2.Tap System settings
3.Tap on More...
4.Tap Mobile network
5.Tap Access Point Names
6. Delete the Telus APN (To delete, tap on it, tap the menu key and select Delete APN)
7. Make sure the Koodo APN info is correct. (create a new Koodo APN with the following information if there is no Koodo APN or if data/MMS still doesn’t work after deleting Telus APN)
- Name: KOODO
- APN: sp.koodo.com
- Proxy: 74.49.0.18
- Port: 80
- Username: leave blank
- Password: leave blank
- Server: leave blank
- MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/koodo/...
- MMS Proxy server: 74.49.0.18
- MMS Port: 80
- MCC: 302
- MNC: 220
- Authentication type: None
- APN type: leave blank
8.Tap menu key, then tap Save

I hope this helps!

Thanks for this detailed reply.....
I do not have Telus APN instead I have Koodo but it is greyed out and am unable to delete or edit it.....I tried creating one from #7 onwards and select it after creating it but it did not work.......
Also, as I first mentioned that my Data is turned off from the Koodo Network side...
