How can I order an iPhone online?

Hi. I am a koodo customer living in the Yukon, nowhere within driving distance of a koodo kiosk. I have enough tab and really want to upgrade to an iPhone 4s, but can't purchase one online and can't go into a store to buy one. Is there anyway around this without having to buy a phone outright or change providers?

Sign into your self serve account online first then click the phones that will bring you to the webstore and there you can purchase the device under your account.

Unfortunately you can't purchase any iPhones online from the webstore otherwise I would do that.

There is one way... The only thing I can think of is this:

1. Authorize a close friend or family member on your account who lives in a town closer to a Koodo shop or retailer and have them do the upgrade in store on your behalf. Make sure the rep gives said person the new proper sized SIM card BUT don't activate it so you don't lose any service.

2. Have the person ship you the phone and the SIM in a box. When it arrives, activate the new SIM card on Self Serve. The IMEI doesn't really need to be updated since technically it already was on Koodo's end.

Worst case scenario is if the wrong SIM is activated or the person helping you forgot about it, at the very least SIM cards can be ordered online.

I understand this requires a few extra steps but it is possible!

That's exactly what I have been trying to do, but unfortunately Koodo says they can't do that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Koodo recently changed their policies to allow "authorized users" to upgrade on the account holder's behalf, so yes, it IS possible. I would reach out to your friend/family member and have them contact their nearest Koodo shop for details on how to get the ball rolling with your new phone.

Johnathan, thanks, I will try again, but I have already called koodo and two koodo kiosks and they said this was not possible.

I would love to know the reasoning for NOT being allowed to buy an iPhone on line.  I have been a Koodo client for years with a perfect payment record - I just don't understand the 'suits' decision on this policy.
