I have an LG3. I am from Canada but am currently in Kazakstan. I texted ALL40 to Koodo and i chose Kcell as my provider. I can't call, text or receive texts. What do i have to do for this plan to work properly in this country?

Did you add international voice roaming to your account? It's free. Do that via self serve then reboot your phone.

Make sure that you have international voice and data roaming add-ons put on in self-serve. They are free add-ons that enable talk text and data use. Pull out your sim card, wait a few seconds and put it back in. Then restart your phone. Restart a couple more times if it doesn't work.

Thank you for your fast replies. I checked my add-ons and all is in order. I have the international plan. I also removed my sim card and restarted my phone a few times and no luck. As of now, I can use my international data (when I am not on wifi) and I can send texts (and the intended people do receive them). However, I can't receive texts and I can't make calls. Any ideas what to do?

This is very bizarre. You have service, can send texts, but aren't receiving any, and calls aren't working. Are you dialing "+" "country code" then the number? So like +7 700 [number] and still nothing? Who is trying to send you texts? You have done everything right and it could be an issue with the roaming partner itself at this point if you cannot receive text messages from anyone. Have you contemplated getting a local prepaid sim card with Kcell or some other provider? Kcell has dirt cheap data. Like 10 dollars for 6gb cheap. Beeline is even cheaper by a significant margin. You can make very cheap calls locally and use voip or messaing apps to stay in touch with people back in Canada.
