I'm on a $45 prepaid plan on my android phone. I am on a shock free plan and I have used up the 500MB limit for the month, and so my data is paused. I need more data for the month. How do I unpause the data?
Thank you!

If you are prepaid you will have to purchase data boosters. The best rate is the largest packet at 30 dollars per gigabyte. Upside is it doesn't expire if you are a lighter user. There currently are data bonuses for prepaid plans with Koodo. It not sure if you can just switch to it without needed in to setup a new line. If you find yourself regularly needing to adds it then I would suggest switching to postpaid or go with Public Mobile if you want to stay within the Telus umbrella. Otherwise shop around if there's anything better.

If indeed we are talking about a pre-paid plan, be aware that choosing a new baseplan wipes out the previous one, regardless of how much time was left to go on it. There's no pro rata credit for what's left, so best done as close to expiry as possible. Any purchased boosters, though, remain intact.

You ticked prepaid but it sounds like a postpaid plan. If it is postpaid follow the instructions below.
