Software update of what? Phone itself? What model? What problems are you experiencing?

If you meant the Android system upgrade, unfortunately there is no downgrade function officially. If you would like to downgrade you would have to root your phone and reupload firmware, which could void your warranty.

If your phone is slow, I would suggest you backup everything and reset the phone to factory settings. It might help. Btw, which phone are you using?

Samsung firmware is here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
You could use Odin to flash the old firmware, https://odindownload.com/

Again, this is not officially supported by Samsung, you are on your own if you choose to do so.

There might be some interesting tutorials here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625461

Maybe this one is the good one, maybe not. Look for the exact phone model
