How to set up ASUS ZenFone 3 phone with dual sim cards on Koodo account?

I would like to buy a dual sim card phone, found one at a local Staples, ASUS Zenfone 3 Unlocked smartphone.  I have a phone currently with Koodo and would like a second phone line, both set up on the new phone.  Has anyone done this before and how do I do this?  Purchase a second plan from Koodo and then have both numbers ported over?  Can I do this with Koodo support?

just checked http://www.willmyphonework.net/ and it says good for 3G 850MHz, 1900MHz and 4G LTE Band4-AWS.  Still need to know if I call Koodo support to set this up.  Any other issues I should be aware of before jumping in?
TIA

If you want 2 completely separate lines, you will need a separate SIM & plan for each. You will also have to verify that the second SIM slot supports 3G, a data connection and not just a secondary 2G network as many older handsets did.

If you just need to have 2 incoming lines on one plan, an alternative is to get the second number from a VoIP service and have those calls forwarded to your single cell number. All calls ends up on one bill, and your outgoing calls will show the cell number on the call display. Only one Koodo plan required --- forwarding costs are negligible. VoIP.ms, Fongo and CallCentric are places to check out.
