How to avoid travel charges

I have moved outside Canada and want to be able to use my phone for the camera and wifi only (Facebook, email, snap chat, etc). I have ended my plan with koodo and just paid off my remaining bill and tab balance. If I turn off cellular data and leave the phone on airplane mode, is there any way I can incur charges? The phone I have is a Motorola G. Thanks!

Not really since your cancelled your plan you shouldn't be able to use network services for anything other than 911.

Just to be sure, you should remove your SIM card.

Koodo only had the single sim versions of the Moto G

Hey Steve and welcome to the community.

The link you provided is from T-Mobile and while yes it talks about roaming, the information it provides isn't relevant to Koodo.
