I believe it's 50c/min on the current plans but it depends on when you got your plan. Or maybe you don't have service with Koodo yet.

It doesn't cost anything extra to receive calls from the US, though. It just uses airtime.

If you want, there's a $10 add-on for unlimited US long distance. But it will still use airtime. So let's say you have a plan with 200 Canada wide minutes and the US add-on. If you call the US it will still use those minutes. If you run out of minutes and want to call the US, you won't pay any extra LD fees, but you will be charged airtime overage.

Well I am with Koodo already, I get like unlimited canada wide calling after 5 I think. So if I get the unlimited call to the states, that will only add 10$ to my bill? And it's free if they call me from the states?

Yes that's correct.

If you call the USA frequently you may want to check out Skype2Go from Skype. For 2.99$ per month. Skype will convert numbers located anywhere in the USA and Canada to local Canadian numbers you then call like you'd make any other call. Call quality is fantastic and it does not require a data connection to use. Plus you can share your converted numbers with up to 30 other people so your family can call them too.

or you can add $3/month LD saver under self serve & call USA for 5cents/minute if it is not going to be that much calling.
