how long do I have to activate a new account?

Hello, I got a Koodo SIM card, and just got my activation email. Is there a deadline by which I must activate the account by? I am hoping to wait one week as this is a birthday present for my son. Thank you.

You need to reply to the Activation email and set up the Self-serve account in fairly short order, or the link will expire and you will have to contact Koodo and have them reset the account. For the small price the extra time will cost, I'd choose to activate now, rather than have to fiddle around with it later.

Hi, I have a similar question - I want to take advantage of the current promotional plans, but don't really need the plan for a month or two. Can I order the sim under the plan I want now (I have a compatible, unlocked phone) and then have them reset the account when I'm ready, or will doing that lose the promotional plan and cause me a headache?

The SIM will arrive to you activated with the plan you choose. You can't postpone the activation of the SIM, as it is tied to the current promotion.

Thanks for your response! One more question, my plan is the $40 plan that was offered for people with PM. I have a phone now, and want to know if I could add a phone using Koodo tab at any time? Also, I thought that I could get a phone with small or medium tab - but when looking at phones, it says that medium tabs are for plans that start at $45.

Yes you can get a tab at any time you like. Your plan only qualifies for tab small as tab medium needs a plan of $45 or more.
