How is data limit vs usage calculated?

I seem to go over my data limit ... I thought I had 130MB left so I downloaded 15MB, but somehow that used much more.
Anyway, trying to figure out the bill. It says I've used 958.41MB but that I went over the 1024MB limit by 28MB. I'm not able to make that math add up even if the 1024 vs 1000 conversion applies.

Were you chaging from a lower-end data plan?

It doesnt add up to me either.

If you added up the daily counts, does it add up to 958.41MB? Or 1024+28 MB?

The Feb 3 line has changed and now reads

3-Feb-2015 Data Usage 187.99 Megabyte (Data Volume) $5.00

So this makes more sense. It seems billing data arrives faster than information data? By the time it reported via text that I had reached 95% of my monthly plan it was already a hour past going into an overage. This is on the Telus network, which is Koodo's primary network as I understand. And 3G, not LTE.

Oh well. At least I got the plan when the overages were still reasonable. I was just trying to squeek out a little more usage before my plan rolled over.

Anything that is $10 per GB is an amazing deal compared to prices now. It is the ideal amount for per per use data
