How does the phone trade in program work when you order a new phone online? I have two old phones, an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 5. The 4S is in great condition. The 5 has a perfect glass screen, but scratched corners and low battery life. Are these phones too old to be worth anything? I am going to buy the iPhone 7 online through Koodo but want to know if I could trade in one of my phones for any credit. Even if it's $5, I'd be happy with something rather than nothing since I'll be recycling them anyway! I went to my local Koodo store and the employee said he had no idea what my phones were worth and that if I was ordering a phone online then he couldn't help me. When I got home and looked online, it said you're supposed to take it in the the store.

I'm confused now! I've heard that Koodo charges you to talk on the phone with them? Is that true? Or is that only true if they perform a service for you? I thought I'd post my question here first before calling them. Any help is much appreciated!

Did you bring your old phone with you when you went to your local Koodo store?

They have to see its condition when you want to use their trade in program. They can determined its value and you need to use it during the same visit and at the same location.
It means you can't use the trade in credit  online order.

Also you can trade in one phone at a time.

Yup, I brought both phones with me and put them on the counter to show the employee. I knew it was only one phone for the trade-in, but wasn't sure which one would be worth more (since the older one is actually in way better condition) so I brought both to check and see.

That makes sense though about how I can't use the in-store-trade-in credit online.

Thanks for your help!

Hey Laura! Just adding on that we will never charge customer service fees if you have questions or concerns! The customer service fees can be charged if your requesting to make a change that's available through self-serve http://koo.do/1TlXgoX (phone number change, plan change, etc). Hope this clarifies things :)
