I keep getting a message on my phone when I try to call people saying "7UV2 your phone is not activated on the network, please call client care for more information." How do you expect me to be able to call them without my phone!? its my only phone and it seems to have been shut off... Just earlier this morning i was texting my mother. What is going on?

*611 will only work if you are connected and active on the network In this case she is not.

She can't possibly be on the network her phone is disconnected.

Pretty sure that doesn't matter, *611 will always forward you to the carrier customer care (assuming you have a Koodo sim in there)

She may have been suspended for non-payment as well. That's when you get the message too.

When asking questions with disconnection issues it is always good to state if you are on pre-paid of post-paid plan, so that we can answer you more effectively.

Make sure you are actually on the Koodo network, sometimes your phone may switch to Bell or Rogers and you technically are not registered on those networks. If you are sure you are on the Koodo network, keep reading.

Login to Koodo's self serve online, and verify your account. If you are using a pre-paid device if your balance is 0.00$ Then you should just need to add more money to the account and you will be good to go! If you are using post-paid, make sure your bill was properly settled and the payment did go through wether it be credit card or bank account transfer.

If your account seems to be in order, head on down to your nearest Koodo retail location and they can take another look on the account for you and even provide you with a phone to call customer care if they are unable to address the issue you are having.

Hope this helps!

It's a toll free call. Surely you can find a phone to use.

You need a friend or a land line to call.

You guys sure are presumptuous. I understand if there is a will there is a way, but don't say surely when it might not be a sure thing. Anyways it would be nice to talk to someone concerning my bill issues via on line vs. Bundling my kid up and dragging them down to the nearest pay phone (which is quite the trek since payphones are few and far between now). Chew on that!

Are you suspended for non payment, Delainie? Just a heads up that it is always better to contact Koodo before suspension... Reason is if you are not yet entirely cut off, you can still dial 611 to make payment arrangements.
But anyway since you let it get that far, Falcon's solution below might help be better than trying to find a payphone :)

Is your phone a smartphone? If so, assuming you have WiFi, go to your app store and download Fongo. With that app, you can call any Canadian number for free as long as you have an internet connection.

What about a neighbor or a friend?  Or a Koodo booth?  a family member?
