Have you turned on your wifi?

You don't have free data besides the first 10 days of your line. You can justice turn on WiFi and use data apps and such primarily when you are connected to WiFi networks. Your phone will default to that over your data plan.

There is no free data allowance on prepaid. You do not need to turn data on to get access to wifi. I usually keep data turned off unless I have to use it (this also saves battery). If you are going to use open wifi networks, though, I suggest you look into a VPN app.

@Ray @Goran I'm pretty sure @William is referring to the WiFi data being free, not their mobile data/plan.

@William just turn on WiFi and connect to a WiFi hotspot and data will start flowing through that connection rather than mobile data connection.  If you have an iPhone, you will want to turn off the Wi-Fi Assist feature (https://support.apple.com/en-ca/ht205296).  Some Android phones have this as well--my OnePlus 5T calls it "Smart Wi-Fi switcher" but it's the same concept.

What phone do you have?
Have you tried restarting the phone to fix your WiFi issue?

If you are not connecting on wifi, go into settings => wifi and manually choose each network and forget them individually. On some phones, going to the triple dot menu at the top right for settings will yield Advanced Settings. There may be a toggle to switch to mobile data when wifi is unavailable. Make sure it is off.

Then restart the phone and try reconnecting. You will have to sign in and re-enter passwords manually.
