I'd like to move my SIM card into a new phone (bought online, IMEI checks out). I have a monthly plan, I choose "Mobile Phone" - "Change Phone" - "Upgrade my current phone" and then it asks for a new SIM card number - how do I use my existing card? If I put my existing card number in I get "Sorry, this equipment (mySIMcard#) is already in use."

If the phone is unlocked, you simply need to put the sim card in, no other action needed.

Ha ha, yes just tried this and it works ! Thought I needed to tell Koodoo but I guess it doesn't matter. I was impressed the data, texting, and voicemail all works :)

The only time that you have to enter something here is if you are using a new SIM card.

Some people upgrade their phones, and the new phone needs a different size SIM card and thats when you enter a SIM card here.

OR...

the SIM card no longer works so you need a different SIM for your phone to work
