I had three users on my account. I now have one user. I still own one of the other phones. My son’s phone broke. How do I release my old handset to allow him to use it (he has a contract with Telus, if I remember correctly)?

Hi.

Just so I understand this correctly. You have one extra device now that is a Koodo device?

If so, there is nothing you need to do, other than putting a Telus SIM card into it.

Telus owns Koodo, therefore you will not need to unlock it. The networks are also the same.

No need to tell anyone for the record that it isn't stolen? Otherwise thanks, you understood perfectly.

Nope! They don’t keep track of devices. If they are reported stolen (by original owner), then they are black listed. Other than that, you are free to do what you want with it.
If there is a tab remaining on that phone, you will need to continue paying it, however. The tab stays attached to your account.

Thanks. The phone is free of tab so it’s all good. I appreciate your help.
