I'm fully aware that Koodo typically gave "gifts" and "promos" to new activating customers but now in order to get the new plans, you have to upgrade your phone? I don't fully understand why existing Koodo customers who already have their own phone are not able to upgrade their plans as well?

I was excited to upgrade my plan and the plans of my other family members but now I can't because we have to upgrade our phones which we already did a few months back. Great.

They are not just for new upgrades. Existing customers can get the new plans just like anyone else. You just pay off your tab first though. That's it.

Why did you think it's only new upgrades? Someone told you?

I tried upgrading and my tab is positive but it's not appearing in the options in Self Serve. It says in the bottom that "Check out these new plans when you upgrade your phone" and it leads me to the new plans. How do I get the new plans without upgrading my phone?

You want to keep same phone but get the new plans? Is that right? If yes, you have to change to the new SIM only tab type and that will mean you lose your 10% discount,. Call care can do this for you because you can't do it atm in self serve.

So it's just a website error/bug. I am fully allowed to take advantage of the new plans being offered as I have a zero/positive tab plus able to receive a 10% discount on the new plans as I can choose the "No Tab Discount" option.

Is this correct?

Yes You can choose the new plans but there will be no 10 % discount

You can use your positive tab towards buying a new phone and at that time you 'll need to figure out what tab type you want, if you end up in a negative tab position. Regardless of what plan you decide to choose or what tab type you want to move to, the 10% discount is no longer available with new plans and tab,

Hi John, since you don't have a negative Tab, you can switch to one of our new plan :) Your Self Serve won't allow the change for the moment so you will have to contact us over the phone at *611. We'll make the switch for you, free of charge! Thank you!
