This is primarily a Koodo community, have you tried the Microsoft forums?

Like Sophia said this is primarily a Koodo community but since I have experience with this sort of thing I'll give you a quick answer to try to lead you in the right direction.

In short, yes, you will be able to get in to your computer so no need to worry. If youre account is linked with a Micrsoft Account than you can simply reset that password and be on your way. If it is a regular old password not linked to a Microsoft account and you dont have any other accounts on the computer you can navigate to advanced startup options, get into cmd, set one of the button on the login screen to open up cmd, reboot and click that button, create a new account, login to said account and then change the password from the new account. You can find plenty of tutorials on how to do this online.

If you really get stuck you can always call Microsoft and they can confirm your identity and help you out as well.

First, you should make a password reset disk. Then use it to reset or remove the account via SAM entries in Windows. Here is a nice tutorial on how to reset HP laptop password:

I have done this several times for my clients.

No matter what famous brands of PC you are using, the last thing they tell you when you forgot Windows 7 login password is to reinstall Windows system to reset Windows 7 password free. Yet, this method would cause all data loss in the disk C. If you prefer no any data loss, you many need a windows password reset tool.

Step 1: Download and install on any available computer.
Step 2: Insert a bootable CD/DVD or a USB flash drive on the computer. In the pop-up window, select “Reset Windows local account password”, choose your CD/DVD or USB flash drive, and click “Burn”.
Step 3: Start you PC and insert the newly created CD/DVD or USB flash dive on the PC.

Step 4: After the program initializing, choose the Windows installation, select administrator account, enter a password, click “Reset” and “OK” in the pop-up windows and click “Reboot”.

Windows 10 supports two different account types: local accounts and Microsoft accounts. Local accounts are identical to accounts on previous versions of Windows. Data is stored locally, and the account is only known on the local device.

Password of Microsoft account can be reset online and you can use the new password for login. For local account, you have to use third-party apps to get the password recovered.
