Hi. I have an iPhone 4 and before I left for Japan, I had Koodo  unlock my phone so that I can use a prepaid SIM in Japan . I am having  trouble  using a prepaid SIM and checking everything to solve  this issue.  And even though I have charged $35 to unlock  maybe  it's not unlocked? Does anyone know how to check if your phone is unlocked when you are not in Canada?

The best way is to borrow a non Koodo or Telus SIM from a friend and see if it works... Or buy a prepaid SIM here in Canada to test :)

Oops when you're not in Canada you said, well you'd get a message "unsupported SIM" if it's not unlocked...

Hi Sophia,
thank you for your reply. I will try that! Does anyone know though to find out if the phone is unlocked by looking into your settings or something?
