Does anyone use Koodo as a hotspot on there network, I have but find it uses up allot of data very quickly, About 4mb per minute surfing on google approx. Is this about normal or are there settings I can set to use less data?

Pay attention to bakground apps that might eat data without you knowing. Especially on your computer. Apps like uTorrent, windows updates, etc.

I didn't think it made a difference whether you use hotspot, wi-fi or anything else as to how much data is being used. Say a picture on a website is a certain data size, why would that change based on how you downloaded it?

Computers download a ton more data then your phone. Be careful about using your phone as an Internet source for things like laptops and pc's. Tablets or other phones are fine but your desktop will chew through your allotment.
