Hi, I have an HTC One and the three bottom lights (Home, Back, and the button that displays all the active apps in one view) are constantly lit up... So when the screen turns off, those three buttons are still illuminated. This (or something else... but I'm guessing it's this) has cut my battery life in half. Wondering what I should do

In dark situations the back and home buttons will light up. Or if you put your finger over the proximity sensor they will light up too.

During the day, the buttons do not light up I guess because it is not needed. Therefore, is there something hiding the sensor? Like a new case, sticker, etc?

regarding the possibility of the battery life, check phone remaining battery time and Battery Usage (by Application), it is best to avoid task killers such as Advanced Task Killer. Android is designed to automatically pre-load certain applications, even if you don't load them yourself, if it starts to run low on memory, it will smartly unload the oldest running apps automatically. Manually
killing tasks will only mean they get loaded in memory again. Task killers can make the phone slow, laggy, or drain battery life more quickly

Are you possibly receiving a Notification (example Email / Facebook / SMS) that's remaining unchecked? They shouldn't be staying on for no reason.

Do you have any Apps listed in Accessibility Settings or Device Administrator?
