Good day, just looked on to get my current invoice and seen the Home Phone Promo. From what I see it looks like the Hub uses a SIM card to connect to the cellular network? Just wanting to confirm this is NOT a VoIP service. How is 911 Handled? Will it also support FAX send/ receive?
For 911, the hub has a backup battery for when the phone goes out. The battery supports 4-5 hours of talk time and 24 hours of standby time when unplugged.
It does not support fax.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask or refer to the FAQ here:
You can't send fax or do any dial-up (point of sale, etc.) over Koodo wireless home phone. The cellular network will not support it.
As an alternative, the cellular network supports data, so you can do all those things through alternative means through the internet, but not through Koodo's wireless home phone (which is cellular only). It can do anything a basic 2G/CDMA phone can do (which is phone calls with number display only, voicemail, etc.), except text messages.
