Hi I would like to switch to the $45 plan with 1gb data plan but I have my own phone but the system online does not allow me?

If you've been a customer since before April 19 2015 you'll need to pay off any tab balance you may have and then call Koodo to switch plans.

That is what my buddy did yesterday. He paid up his remaining phone tab balance then switched to the Promo Plan of $45.

Actually, he called Koodo to pay for the tab balance (which will show on your next billing) then after that he logged in again using self serve and the promo showed up. That way you don't get charge the Koodo fee when you call to switch.
