I would like to move up to a smart phone. I want something that takes great pics. Effective use of wifi, something with a big screen, and ease of use. Including copying and pasting. Any recommendations?

Since you tagged this question as Android, I will assume you're asking for an Android phone recommendation.

If it is your first smartphone, of the phones Koodo offers, I would recommend the Nexus 4 as it offers great performance for the price.
The Galaxy Mega, or Galaxy S3, or Galaxy S4 are quite pricey. You may not want to spend that much money on your first foray into the world of smartphones.
The other Android phones are lower-end and will not offer you an acceptable experience.

From Koodo's lineup I'd suggest the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Pricey but worth it in my opinion. If you go with a lower-priced device you'll likely be disappointed with the picture quality.

I'd second choosing the Galaxy S4, it has IMO one of the best cameras in a smartphone. It has a large 5" display that is full HD, it's very vibrant and IMO the best display on a smartphone to date. It's quad core processor is one of the fastest on the market and it has zero lag issues since it's last update.

If it's too pricey then check out the Galaxy Mega if you want a large display, it's 6.3" and 720p with very vibrant colors and since it's a back-lit TFT display is very bright & more visible in direct sunlight.
The camera isn't amazing like the Galaxy S4 but it takes a decent photo with its 8mp camera. It only has a dual core processor which obviously isn't as fast as the Galaxy S4 but the only lag issues I've encountered with it is during fast paced gaming with high quality graphics having to be displayed. If your not a big gamer then it's powerful enough to do everything else quite well.

Battery life on both of these devices is great and is about the same on either device.

Not much more to add just to confirm that the S4 is indeed pretty awesome! :-)
